 The Oppo smartphone concept folds 3 times. When fully unlocked, the widescreen can be used for everything from gaming to watching movies and working with multiple applications.

Oppo and design studio Nendo have created a concept of a handset that can be folded three times into three different screen sizes. According to Oppo, the trend towards bigger smartphone screens is a concern for users because the devices are harder to hold.

Like the Motorola Razr, the concept unfolds vertically. The design is segmented and clock notifications are displayed continuously. Another segment is when you are in selfie mode.

When fully unlocked, the widescreen can be used for everything from gaming to watching movies and working with multiple applications.

It remains to be seen whether the concept will be implemented one day or materialized on a smartphone.
