Vivo X60 and X60 Pro with chipset from Samsung

Vivo X60 and X60 Pro has been revealed Exynos 1080, 120Hz AMOLED screen, ZEISS lens, OriginOS.

As we already know, the Vivo X60 and X60 Pro are the firsts smartphones to sport the latest 5nm Exynos 1080 chipset from Samsung. It comes with a Cortex-A78 core clocked at 2.8GHz, 5G and WiFi 6, and a Mali-G78 MP10 GPU.

Both models also share the same curved 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen, with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+.

The X60 Pro, as well as the X60, are the first devices to ship with the company’s latest OriginOS 1.0, which is based on the new Android 11 operating system.

The key difference here are the cameras, batteries, RAM, and storage. The Vivo X60 Pro features a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 sensor with the company’s 4-axis OIS that we saw on the X50 Pro. There’s also the 13-megapixel ultra-wide/macro camera, 13-megapixel 50mm lens for 2x portraits, and an 8-megapixel periscope-style lens offering up to 5x zoom.

It also has a 4,200mAh battery with 33W fast charging and comes with a single 12GB/256GB model.

The vanilla Vivo X60 kept the same cameras but lacks the special periscope lens. It also has a slightly bigger 4,300mAh and comes in two storage options: 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. No 12GB option.

Oh, and if it wasn’t obvious already, they are the firsts Vivo smartphone to boast that ZEISS lens branding on the back.

The Vivo X60 has a price of CNY3,499 (around Php25,700) for the 8GB/128GB, while the 8GB/256GB will be at CNY3,799 (around Php27,900). On the other hand, the Vivo X60 Pro 12GB/256GB retails for CNY4,499 (around Php33,000). Its international release, especially in the Philippines, is yet to be revealed.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro will arrive after the Chinese New Year

 Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro will arrive after the Chinese New Year on February 12, 2021. The Mi 11 Pro will fix this and will come with an “improved camera” and “faster charging”, according to the leakster.

This would make sense considering how last year we got a Mi 10 / Mi 10 Pro duo. The Mi 11 Pro is allegedly pictured in these leaked renders you can see below, in blue and silver.

Perhaps surprisingly, the design of the camera island on the back is completely different compared to that seen on the Mi 11. The Mi 11 Pro has four cameras, one of which is of the periscope zoom variety, and the "120x" inscription next to it tells us that Xiaomi doesn't want this phone to digitally zoom any less than the Mi 10 Ultra.

The rest of the writing reveals that the ultrawide has a 35mm equivalent focal length of 12mm, while the periscope goes to 120mm. One of the other shooters is likely to be the exact same 108 MP sensor as the one in the Mi 11, while the last camera could be a 2x or 3x tele for smoother zooming.

We don't yet have a picture of the front of the Mi 11 Pro, but rumor has it you should expect to find the exact same screen that the Mi 11 has, with its 6.81" size, curved sides, 1440x3200 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 480 Hz touch sampling rate, and 1,500-nit peak brightness. Under the hood the Snapdragon 888 should reign supreme, of course.

XiaoMi Black Shark 3 vs Black Shark 3 Pro

Xiaomi released two new additions to their popular gaming line, all at the same time. Meet the new Xiaomi Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro. This is the first time that Black Shark released two new smartphones at the same time, instead of gradually coming up with different devices with confusing names.

This thing is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. Easily one of the best and fastest chipset you can find on any Android phone. They come with two heatsink for better thermals.

The screen might be smaller, but it still has that fast 90Hz refresh rate. It should make gaming feel smoother, helping the fast processor to fully flex its power.

We have a 64-megapixel primary shooter, a camera that you’d find in a lot of flagships today. There’s also the 13-megapixel ultra-wide, 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 20-megapixel selfie camera.

And of course, there’s the ultra-fast 65W fast charger, which can easily give a full charge in under an hour. Xiaomi had to split the battery into two to achieve this feat without overheating and blowing up the device.

Xiaomi also crammed in a larger 5,000mAh battery (vs 4,720mAh) on this handset. With a device as powerful as this, you want the biggest battery you can get.

For one, it has a bigger and sharper 7.1-inch QHD+ panel, versus the 6.7-inch FHD+ screen that the former has.

Xiaomi’s website also says that it will have a 512GB model. Albeit, the pricing for that one has not been announced yet.

Mi 11 Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Powered

 The Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi has unveiled its latest and greatest smartphone called Mi 11 and the device is coming with many specialties. It is the world’s first smartphone that comes with the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 mobile chipset and the company has also launched the device with a 2K display. So without making any further delay let’s dive into the article to check out the complete specifications along with the pricing and availability details of the new smartphone.

Specifications of Mi 11

It features the most advanced screen of the company and it is coming with a 6.81-inch 2K WQHD AMOLED display 3200 X 1440 pixels resolution along with 1500 nits of peak brightness, 5000000:1 contrast ratio, and 515 ppi of pixel density. It also sports a punch hole set up to accommodate the front facing camera and the device supports up to 120Hz refresh rate and there is a touch sampling rate of 480Hz.

That’s not all, the device is also coming with DCI-P3 colour gamut as well as supports HDR10+ and Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation (MEMC) There is also the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

It is worth to mention that the fingerprint scanner can also work as the heart rate monitor and that is pretty cool.

Talking about the connectivity options, the latest Mi 11 supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, Infrared (IR), and a USB Type-C port. It comes with stereo speakers that are backed by Harman Kardon audio.

The Mi 11 runs on Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 and the smartphone packs a 4,600mAh battery that supports Mi TurboCharge 55W wired and 50W wireless charging. There is also 10W wireless reverse charging support. But you guys are required to purchase the charger separately, as the company will not ship the same in the box.

Pricing and availability

It is coming with a price tag of CNY 3,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant carries a price tag of CNY 4,299, and the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option is priced at CNY 4,699. The phone will be available for pre-orders in China starting and the device will go on sale from January 1.
